After everyone left, we finished off another small pizza, washed down with wine, and chatted about the differences and similarities in education systems. Pat taught sixth grade and sometimes a combination of sixth and seventh in the public schools before she retired. Phil was a librarian in a private elementary school but had also been a principal prior to that.
